ANnouncEments

Welcome to First Pres! You are welcome here! We are a community of faith that believes in the unconditional love of Jesus. We believe that Jesus accepts and wants a relationship with all of us NOW, as we are, not when we are "worthy" or "good enough" because none of us will ever be worthy or good enough. We would love for you to visit us in person or go to the "Services" page of this web site to view our online services.

Pastor Appreciation Month

October is Pastor Appreciation Month!  Our pastor is key to this church’s future, in terms of growth, discipleship evangelism, and social concerns.  It is also the perfect time to commit to praying for and encouraging Pastor Bobby on a regular basis.  God's word calls us to support our pastor. And now, friends, we ask you to honor those leaders who work so hard for you, who have been given the responsibility of urging and guiding you along in your obedience. Overwhelm them with appreciation and love. 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13

Cow Creek Adventure

Join us for a day of family fun and fellowship at Katy and Pete’s Cow Creek Camp on Saturday, October 18, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM! We'll be grilling sausages so please bring a dish to share and any special drinks you'd like. It's a casual camp setting, so come as you are!  Don’t forget to bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the cool, refreshing creek water on a warm day. We look forward to seeing you there!  For directions email info@firstpresorange.com.

Becoming Presbyterian, Becoming a Member

Presbyterians affirm that God comes to us with grace and love in the person of Jesus Christ, who lived, died, and rose for us so that we might belong to God and serve Christ in the world. God sends the Holy Spirit to dwell within us, giving us the energy, intelligence, imagination, and love to be Christ’s faithful disciples in the world.
First Presbyterian Church is a place where people can meet Jesus, engage in a life-giving community, and everyone is welcome.  Our mission is to Worship God, Love People, and Grow Disciples.  Our hope is that you will find a family of faith where you will grow in your faith and use your gifts to the glory of God to worship Him, love people and grow disciples.
There are three ways to become a member of First Presbyterian Church: by Profession of Faith, by Reaffirmation of Faith, and by Letter of Transfer.  As you prayerfully consider your decision to become a member of First Presbyterian Church, we encourage you to speak to Rev. Bobby Daniel about your decision.  He is available to talk with you following the worship service, or you may contact him by phone (409-883-2097) or email bobby@firstpresorange.com during the week.
